Return to Body Balms

Our Cocoa Butter & Lavender Soap and Lotion contain Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, and more! The lotion and balm has a 'chocolaty' scent that compliments the lavender essential oil blend. The soap has a gentler cocoa scent, as the saponification process processes out much of the heavy scent.

Why Cocoa butter?

Cocoa butter has been said to soothe skin, heal scars, prevent damage, and so much more!

Free radicals are created in every cell in your body as glucose is converted to energy. Your skin is also exposed to environmental pollutants from laundry products to car exhaust. Damage from all of this can make your skin look aged and rough. The antioxidants in Cocoa butter neutralize these evil doers and prevent damage! Over time, these undamaged, healthy cells create plumper, smoother, younger looking skin.

The fatty acids in Cocoa butter also deeply hydrate and nourish skin on application. Cocoa Butter contains fatty acids in these percentages: (Source)
Oleic (Omega 9) - 33-39%, Palmitic - 24-30%, Stearic - 30-36%, and Linoleic (Omega 6) - 1-3%.

Cocoa butter contains cocoa mass polyphenol (CMP), which has been known to ease dermatitis and rashes. However, you don't need irritated skin to enjoy the soothing, decadent nature of Cocoa butter! Keep dry, scaly skin under control through dry winters and sunny summers.
